experienced market professionals to its strategic development team, further enhancing the
depth of healthcare expertise now available in the LHS diversified portfolio of solutions. Thomas
G. Morrison, a 25-year industry veteran and an active participant in the health information
technology industry, and Marshall Votta, who combines an academic background in
communications with business experience in information systems, join LHS effective

Morrison brings to LHS significant business experience, both as an entrepreneur and senior
executive who has brought new products to market. Most recently, he co-founded NaviNet,
America’s largest healthcare communications company, and served in several roles including
chief strategy officer, and executive vice president of Marketing, Product Management and
Business Development. NaviNet was successfully exited in March 2012. As a partner at
Charles Singer and Company, Morrison sold and led strategic healthcare market development engagements with most of the major technology players and hospital HIT companies in the US.
The Company was sold to the Gartner Group and formed the basis of its healthcare practice.
Prior to Singer, Tom was the senior executive responsible for strategic planning and product
management at Spectrum Healthcare solutions, a joint venture of IBM and Baxter.
Morrison is also an active member of several healthcare industry groups, and is a regular
participant in the policy conversations in Washington, D.C. He serves on the board of directors
of the Collaborative Health Consortium and the HHS/ONC i2TEP program. In addition, he is a
member of the Markle Foundation Connecting for Health Steering Committee. He was named
23rd on HealthSpottr’s Future Health 100 List.
Votta has successfully developed new markets and cultivated business opportunities within
them. As an advocate for transforming the American healthcare system, Marshall is focused on
building relationships and creating policies that facilitate true innovations which change
behavior, reduce cost and improve quality. Most recently, he managed market and business
development at NaviNet, as well as the company’s government affairs. Prior to this role,
Marshall owned and operated a technology consulting firm and served as senior aide to a
Member of Congress. In addition to active participation in leadership roles for a variety of
industry groups, Marshall sits on the board of advisers for RowdMap, a health business
intelligence platform, and serves as a mentor at Betaspring, a start-up accelerator.
